These are newly manufactured medium size replacement handles for vintage era 2-screw Revere Ware pans. Material: Bakelite, stainless steel Includes: Two handle halves + hardware set Measurements: 4.6 in (117 mm) long, 2.6 in (66mm) between holes on center. How to fit: Make sure your sauce pan or skillet has a 5/8 inch tall metal spline, and has approximately 2.6 inches between the centers of the screw holes. If you have a 3/4" spline you need the large or x-large size, not this one. For a 3/8" spline height, you need the small handle. These work with Revere Ware pans with handles that have two screws through the Bakelite. Hardware Notes The screws in the hardware set are Phillips head, not slotted like the original Revere Ware screw sets were. Because the original slot head screws strip very easily, we consider this an improvement. Bakelite Notes Bakelite is a great heat resistant material, but it can be a bit brittle. The most important thing is to not over tighten the screws when assembling the pan handle or you can crack the handle. These parts are not oven-safe. Washing in a dishwasher may dull the finish over time. Installation Notes We have seen about 5% of handles where the screw holes are off just enough to make it very hard to get the nuts to go all the way through. This is just a natural variation in the original Revere manufacturing process. A slight widening of the holes on the metal spline will allow the handles to fit. In some cases the longer nut and screw may bottom out before being completely tight on the far hole (near the hanging loop) of the medium pan handle. The solution is either to add a washer or to grind the screw down slightly, about 1/6 of an inch.
