Vesuvianite Stud Earrings 6mm Sterling Silver

Beautiful Vesuvianite stud earrings bezel set in sterling silver They are a pretty spring-green color! Completely handmade in my studio using all sterling silver. I have hand soldered the bezels to the studs and mounted the stones within them. The posts are sterling silver. As its name suggests, this gemstone was discovered near Mount Vesuvius in Italy, found in and around the lava flows there. This clear green stone, also called idocrase, is a silicate mineral that has undergone contact metamorphism as a result of the intrusion of magma into its structure. The stone presents natural inclusions, making each stone unique. The Vesuvianite cabochons are 6mm in diameter. They will arrive carefully packaged in a small signature kraft gift box.
