The 0.8" temperature sensor is attached to the base by a 10-foot cable and can be submerged. The unit is solar-powered and has a backup battery for use in dim areas. The 0.5" LCD display is visible from up to 10 ft. away and shows either ambient or probe temperature with the press of a button.
