Works with all standard 12 volt accessory plugs This is a female socket kit. The socket is marine grade and is weather and UV resistant, a front cap seals the socket opening. The contacts are nickel plated and the socket body is nylon filled plastic. The socket is vibration resistant, unlike less expensive versions. It requires an 1 1/8" hole for mounting and has .250 spade type male quick connectors. It can be mounted against a panel with the retaining nut on panels up to 1-1/4" thick or for a thicker panel with the optional compression plate which keeps the socket in place from the front on a panel of any thickness. The socket is rated at 15 amps at 12 volts but can operate with peak loads of 20 amps. Weight 1 oz. Draws no power when not in use, so it can't run down your battery. Works with any standard cigarette lighter plug or lockable marine plug. A locking plug looks like a regular male lighter plug but when twisted in this socket can not be pulled out easily, unless twisted again. It is weather resistant and vibration proof. _
