Spreader Socket Number 3424 Special Tool for Audi Volkswagen specifically for A4 platform VWs including: Golf, Jetta, and Gti, 337, 20a.e. GTI model year 1999 to present. 1/2" drive It is used to separate the suspension strut from the wheel bearing housing. Most common would be changing/replacing struts, coil spring, or the entire strut assembly. You would also use this tool when servicing the wheel bearing.
