St Matthew Passion

The monumental St. Matthew Passion recounts the dramatic story of the capture and crucifixion of Jesus Christ profoundly, lyrically, and contemplatively. Conducted by John Nelson, this concert was filmed in the Basilica Cathedral Saint-Denis, a massive piece of Gothic architecture that captures the drama of the music and vaults it to the heavens. The Schola Cantorum of Oxford and the Ma+®trise de Paris are joined on this journey by the Ensemble Orchestral de Paris.
