Have you ever heard someone tell you that a new shampoo is great for keeping hair healthy, only to be told that hair is dead? It is hard to keep hair healthy exactly, but some things are better for it then others. Shampoo bars are much more gentle on hair than a traditional shampoo, since they have no stripping agents.
This wonderfully moisturizing bar is lightly scented with Lavender and Rosemary essential oils with a dusting of ground dried rosemary (some of which is grown by yours truly). This is the shampoo I use personally. It's also awesome when paired with the Soothing Scents Soap . Just run the bar through wet hair a few times for a wonderful, full lather and rinse thoroughly.
I began making handmade soap as an alternative to the beauty/bath bars on the market. Those bars are actually detergent based & strip your skin of its natural oils, leaving it dull, dry & itchy. The soap making recipe consists of water, lye and oils. Combined together the chemical process is called saponification; a hydrogen, oxygen, sodium and fatty acid reaction. Final product has no lye and is super-fatted with skin nourishing oils. Each bar is blended by hand and made with top shelf vegetable-based oils for an eco-friendly product, safe for the whole family. These soaps are NOT tear-free.
