Raspberry Pi Camera Module V2 is a new official camera board released by Raspberry Pi Foundation.
It carries an 8 megapixel Sony IMX219 image sensor which has a great performance in catching the high resolution of images and videos. The image sensor can output up to 3280x2464 pixel static image, 1080P30, 720P60 and 640P90 video.
For the interface that connects the board, Raspberry Pi Camera has the standard CSI(Camera Serial Interface) which can be compatible with most of SBCs or Dev boards like Raspberry Pi 4, NVIDIA Jetson Nano and Raspberry Pi Zero, etc. But you need a Camera Cable for Raspberry Pi Zero to adapt the Pi Zero to this camera. As a matter of fact, Raspberry Pi Camera has wide compatibility.
