This 9CD box set is a tribute to the great French baroque composer Jean-Philippe Rameau. It includes famous recordings and rare original albums, such as his complete piano works, plus opera, ballet music, concertos and cantatas. It features brilliant artists such as Marcelle Meyer, Nicolai Gedda, Gérard Souzay, Hugues Cuenod, Nadia Boulanger, Hans Rosbaud, Roger Desormière, Maurice Hewitt, Michel Sénéchal, Irène Joachim, Doda Conrad and Paul Derenneand. The recordings were made between 1942 and 1956.
