Pierogi Maker and Uszka Press with Polish Pierogi Cookbook

Pierogi press makes 14 most popular pierogi sized 3 by 1 ¼ inch which are good for two bites. Uszka press makes 55 dumplings at a time. These are traditionally bite-sized uszka measuring 1 1/8 inches across with 15/16 inch filled pockets. Uszka – which means "little ears" - are served with borscht (red beetroot soup). How to use these dumpling presses - 1) Sprinkle generous amount of flour on the mold so the dough doesn’t stick. 2) Lay the dough over the mold. 3) Add filling to the naturally forming pockets. 4) Put another layer of dough over the top. 5) Seal and separate the pierogi or uszka by running a rolling pin over the top. 6) Pop the pierogi or uszka out of the pockets. 7) Put them in a pot of boiling water, cook and serve.
