Our 1095 high carbon steel is sourced from US distributors who meet our rigorous quality standards. By sourcing only cold rolled annealed steel, we are able to provide a more consistent product. Our cold rolled annealed steel is shipped with a maximum hardness of Rockwell B88. This means that you will find our steel easier to cut, shape, and grind than many of our competitors who use steel that is ""hot rolled as rolled"" which can have a Rockwell C scale rating between 10 and 40.
