When using these adapters, if you screw the bulb in as tight as possible you can indeed break the screw base off the adapter bulb. This is tempting to do because the adapter does typically add about a 5-7 mm gap between the adapter and bulb .... You so want to make it flush between the bulb and adapter. We recommend screwing in the adapter so the bulb comes on and not trying to make the bulb as tight as possible and making the adapter flush with the bulb.
