Oak Chips- American 4 oz- Heavy Toast

American Heavy toasted oak chips. These chips impart a substantially different flavor than the Medium toast oak chips. Heavy toast gives more chocolate, coffee and roasted nut flavors to the wine and sometimes even nutmeg. Great for use in big red wines such as Cabs, Merlot, Zin, Syrah etc.. Use 4 oz's per 5 gallons of wine during bulk aging. 1-2 weeks of contact time is required.
