DVD FORMAT. 104 minutes, b&w, digitally restored. Bob Cummings was a handsome movie star who, in the early 1950s, saw his future and it wasn't making films for the next 10-20 years. Instead, he, like many others, turned to TV, and found for himself a whole new viewing audience. Cummings was a good enough actor to have worked with Hitchcock and many other fine directors. His transition into TV was a smooth one, and he had many significant successes in the early days of TV. Fans of the Twilight Zone will remember Cummings as the star of the first program of that series. Here, Cummings stars as a less-than-efficient real estate agent. He doesn't have a problem in the world; he's that kind of guy. He has an office secretary who keeps him out of severe trouble and a boss who thinks he's a bit of a kook. Here are 4 episodes from the series, originally aired in 1953, from April through June of that year. Each episode is 26 minutes long and filmed in b&w. If you've never seen Cummings or have forgotten about him, this show will be a good introduction to a fine actor.
