Mosquito Mud Pottery was founded in 1998 by Jennifer Kerr-Marsch and is featured in over 80 galleries around the country. As of August 2012, the brand is under the new ownership of Saverio (Sam) Costanzo, Sarah Costanzo, Jessica Jean-Pierre, and Frisner (Junior) Jean-Pierre, a close-knit family of artists who are passionate about American handcraft. Their love for pottery was discovered during their college years when Sam studied studio art and became an apprentice to the head professor of the ceramics department at Palm Beach Atlantic University. There he learned how to run a studio and create production quality pottery with artistic flair. He realized that pottery was something he'd like to pursue full time and started Palm Beach Pottery with his wife Sarah, sister Jessica and brother-in-law Junior. They were featured in several high-end restaurants in the Palm Beach area and began doing local craft shows to showcase their work. After locating a great studio space in downtown West Palm Beach, they met Jennifer and had the privilege of becoming the new owners of Mosquito Mud Pottery. They worked together to learn the ins and outs of her designs and to produce the same quality workmanship. They'll be expanding the line to include new glaze options as well as some of their favorite and most popular styles from Palm Beach Pottery. They are looking forward to an exciting and successful future with Mosquito Mud Pottery!
