Featuring, Hilary Jones, Billy Ward, Vinnie Colaiuta, Akira Jimbo Akira Jimbo, Japan's amazing export to the world of music, plays several pieces that display his incredible independence and command of rock, jazz and Afro-Cuban styles, along with an extremely high degree of musicality. Billy Ward (Robbie Robertson, Carly Simon, Bill Evans), a phenomenally talented player, worthy of much wider recognition, plays with two tracks from his acclaimed CD, "Two Hand Clapping", and talks about developing a groove, the drums as a melodic instrument, unconventional technique and more. Hilary Jones (Lee Ritenour, Dave Grusin, Robben Ford), a drummer of incredible depth range, plays a beautiful solo piece, performs with an exciting rhythm track, and talks about playing with a linear approach. Vinnie Colaiuta and Band: Vinnie is truly a drummer's drummer and a musician with unsurpassed creativity, imagination and technique. For Modern Drummer Festival 2000, he brought a group with him of some of the finest players in the country: David Garfield, Michael Landau and Neil Stubenhaus. They perform three songs that feature the unique playing of a truly legendary musician.
