MiniArt 35234 BM-8-24 Self-Propelled Rocket Launcher Interior Kit, WWII Military Miniatures 1/35 Scale Model Kit While Katyusha rocket artillery was typically seen mounted on truck chassis, there was also a variant on a tracked vehicle: the BM-8-24, which used the chassis of T-40 and T-60 light tanks as platform. Crewed by 2, it was fitted with a 24-rail rocket projector, and fired 82mm rockets. More than 600 of these vehicles were produced. The kit comes in the fairly standard, yet sturdy and colorful top opening box MiniArt use, with an artists impression of the vehicle on the front. Inside there are fifty two sprues of varying sizes, mostly small, in a medium to dark grey styrene, along with one sprue of clear styrene, a small sheet of etched brass and a smallish decal sheet. The moldings are superb with no imperfections and very few molding pips. The sheer number of parts is explained by the fact that this kit is equipped with a full interior, which for a model/vehicle this size will mean you will need a magnifying glass/Optivisor when building. The small decal sheet contains markings for four different vehicles,and there are also identifying markings for the transport boxes.
