NORFOLK & WESTERN DOUBLE-DOOR BOXCAR This 50’ standard box car with 8’ double sliding doors, no roofwalk and short ladders is black with white lettering and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Built for Nickel Plate in 1956, these double-door cars were repainted and renumbered into the N&W 286400-286899 series following the 1964 merger. They were equipped with Evans Air Packs.
