About the Actor Bruce Arnold was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Music degree from the Berklee College Of Music, plus extensive studies under Charlie Banacos and Jerry Bergonzi. After moving to New York City, Mr. Arnold developed an enviable reputation as a composer and guitar virtuoso. His works are a startlingly original juxtaposition of 20th Century twelve-tone compositional methods and jazz improvisation techniques.The Los Angeles Times has said that Arnold s music never loses its contact with jazz and he deserves credit for his effort to expand the potential of the jazz palette. He is also the first guitarist to take full advantage of Supercollider, an object-oriented computer software program developed for digital sound processing, in live performance. As an educator,Mr.Arnold has taught at the New England Conservatory of Music, Dartmouth College, and The Berklee College of Music. He presently teaches at Princeton University, New York University, and the New School. He is the author of more than 40 music instruction texts devoted to crucial aspects of guitar technique, theory, ear training, time, sight reading, and the overall mastery of high-level performance skills.
