I've listened to their music for a few years now, Maddie my almost 5 year old loves it, as does Mason my 9 year old. And there are a couple of things that make them stand out from the Kids Stuff crowd. First, their songs are lively and upbeat and usually have a healthy or active message or lesson to them. Second, each song sounds different. That avoids a huge pet peeve of mine, many top kids acts have songs that all sound the same. Laughing Pizza mixes it up and you will probably hear similarities to some big acts, like Michael Franti, the Bangles and even the opening riff from Seinfeld. This may be intentional on their part to keep adults happy, but intentional or not, it works, I totally enjoy their music. --Macaroni Kid 2010 About the Actor Beneath the colorful pop exterior is a multi-layered musical family of real-life mom (Lisa), dad (Billy), and daughter (Emily), whose combined talent makes up the nationally known, TV friendly family band called Laughing Pizza . Their music videos, or Pizza Breaks , are seen daily on PBS in millions of homes around the country. Lisa and Billy are award winning song-writers and are both classically trained musicians, having attended Juilliard and Berklee. They are also both former music teachers. Their fourteen year old daughter, Emily, is a multi-instrumentalist who plays bass, drums, guitar, piano and flute. Together they create fun, inspiring (and educational) music for the whole family!
