Like all good anime agents, they overstep their boundaries, run up bills someone else has to pay, employ an endless array of hi-tech gadgets, and assume foolproof disguises. Jack and Rowe have a certain rhinestone-in-the-rough appeal, but the series has a been-there/done-that feeling. Their adventures involving stolen antiquities, crime syndicates, and the mysterious figure of the "15 year Princess" lack both the noir drama of Cowboy Bebop and the take-no-prisoners silliness of Dai-Guard and the Patlabor series.
