Jack Richeson Stephen Quiller 15-Ml Watercolor Tube, Quinacridone Red

The Quiller signature line of watercolor paint is imported by Jack Richeson & Company and is made by a European company that has been making paint since the 1860s. The pigment is slowly ground on stone mills, thoroughly crushed and then coated in gum Arabic and honey. Pigments are pure; there are no additives; and the colors are made to correspond with the Stephen Quiller color system. The mineral and earth colors have an incredible granulation, which can be a definite advantage for artists, particularly to those for whom texture is important. The color is pure and extremely lightfast. Each tube is individually labeled with special information. It states the lightfast rating; whether the color is staining or non-staining; and its complementary color and pigment composition. These paints took almost a decade of testing and retesting to be finally perfect.
