The RACO old work saddle is used in mounting switch boxes in hollow walls or ceilings. It is designed to be used with 2-1/2" deep switch boxes that have plaster ears. Attach the saddle support to the box and install into the hollow wall or ceiling. The bracket will extend out behind the wall or ceiling surface. Tighten the screw and the box is rigidly in place.
