About the Artist Silk first broke into the national spotlight with their Keith Sweat-produced debut, Lose Control (1992, Elektra), which took the top spot on the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart as well a seven on the Billboard 200. In addition, five Billboard-charted singles came from the album, including the number one Billboard Hot 100 “Freak Me”. The follow-up album, Silk (1995, Elektra) yielded three more charted singles, including “I Can Go Deep” and “Hooked On You”. The hits continued on Tonight (1999, Elektra/Asylum) and Love Session (2001, Elektra/Asylum), both Top 10 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart. Silktime (2003, Liquid 8) peaked at eleven on the Top Independent Albums chart and 30 on Top Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Albums.
