This is a high quality replacement roller brush, or beater bar assembly designed to fit the Dyson Ball DC24 Bagless Upright Vacuums, or Dyson Part Number 917390-02.The Dyson DC24 is equipped with an automatic belt shutoff system, which will stop the brush from spinning if something get vacuumed up that prevents the brushes from spinning. If your beater bar stop spinning, you should first simply press the reset switch located on the left end cap of the brush bar housing, and turn the vacuum on. The OEM Dyson brush however is composed of mostly plastic, and even with the shut off system, many times the damage to the brush bar has already happened before the safety switch engages, and at this point a new replacement part should be installedThis high quality replacement brush dowel includes all the components of the bar, fully assembled and ready to install.
