Cornbread Earl and Me Cooley High

This double feature presents two classics of 1970s African-American cinema. CORNBREAD, EARL & ME (1975) is a heartrending story of a talented, young, black athlete who is gunned down by police after being mistaken for a violent crook. COOLEY HIGH (1975) is a refreshing coming-of-age picture focusing on the lives of two 1964 Chicago high-school seniors as they prepare for adulthood.
