This second collection of Cowboy and Western songs performed by Bing Crosby demonstrates yet again his adeptness at interpreting the genre. Several songs included here also achieved success in the popular field: "Deep In The Heart Of Texas", "Careless Hands", "Riders In The Sky" and "Jingle, Jangle, Jingle" are notable examples. A dozen were penned for Hollywood movies with Republic Pictures, renowned for their 'second Feature' Westerns, well represented. One of Republic's principal stars, Gene Autry, introduced five songs in this collection.
