Amazon.com 200-meter spool of lightweight polyrope-- great for temporary fencing. Zareba Polyrope 200-Meter Portable Electric-Fence Rope with 6 Stainless-Steel Conductors Looking for an affordable and attractive fencing wire for temporary horse containment? Consider this 200-meter spool of lightweight polyrope by Zareba. The polyrope measures about 1/4 inch in diameter and is easy to work with, whether installing, repairing, or splicing. Designed for use as alternative wiring for an electric fence, the polyrope works great for temporary fencing, rotational grazing, and/or controlled grazing. How It Works: Polyrope is an excellent high-visibility choice for an electric fence line. Stronger than polywire, polyrope features stainless-steel strands woven through the rope. The steel strands ensure that maximum electrical energy is carried through the fence line at all times. Use a splicer to maintain a good connection. Technology The polyrope contains six strands of electrical conductors. Conductors create a mild shock when animals come into contact with them, which makes the polyrope an effective choice for keeping animals contained in a designated area. Even more, the polyrope won't rust, and it's easy to install and rewind. Simple Setup Step 1: Clear the area of grass and weeds that may touch the wire or tape and cause electrical shorts. Connect the energizer to the polyrope using the connector. Step 2: Maintain adequate permanent-boundary fencing. Step 3: Remove all vegetation from the electric fence line. Step 4: Do not allow the electric fence to be loaded with snow as it may break the wire or rope. Step 5: Check the electric fence on a regular basis with a volt meter made for electric fencing. Step 6: Check all electric fence components on a regular basis to ensure that they are working properly. Highlights 656-foot (200 meter) spool Contains 6 strands of electrical conductors Breaking load of 820 pounds Lightweight and convenient All metal parts are stainless steel Easier to install, repair, and splice than regular wiring Note: The polyrope is not designed to function under extreme tension and must be used in conjunction with a permanent fence. For best results, use a low impedance fence charger to energize polyrope fences. Polyrope should not be used with continuous output chargers.
