He received his bachelor's degree from Washington University in St. Louis and his master's from the University of Missouri. Bill has received international acclaim for his innovative teaching methods, and he has authored over 200 books with sales in the millions. Mike Buerk is a skilled woodwind performer and teacher. He currently is principal woodwind in the St. Louis Municipal Opera Orchestra. He has also been a features soloist on alto saxophone and clarinet with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. Equally adept in the recording studio and in the show orchestra, Mike Buerk has accompanied such greats as Doc Severinson, Linda Ronstadt, Nancy Wilson, Jack Jones, Connie Stevens, Dionne Warwick, and many more. Mr. Buerk has established the Michael Buerk School of Music in Kirkwood, Missouri.
