Dimensional Witch Yuko lacks the energy to grant wishes for many clients, but she still manages to make life miserable for long-suffering Watanuki. Much to his chagrin, Watanuki shares a powerful bond with the taciturn Doumeki: Watanuki can see spirits, but Doumeki can banish them. They could make a formidable team if Watanuki would stop fussing and ask for help--something he's too proud to do. When supernatural beings attempt to seize Watanuki during a late night get-together to tell ghost stories, Doumeki scatters them with an arrow of pure energy, and squeaky-voiced Mokona demonstrates an unsuspected ability to devour evil spirits.
