Screw the bottom of the banana plug back up till it tightens down on the speaker wire, securing it to the banana plug. Your speaker wire is now ready for connection. Open screw type banana plugs provide a side entry for the copper wire to be inserted. There is no soldering required with these banana plugs. Simply insert the bare copper wire through the side and screw the bottom of the banana plugs to clamp it tightly.
