Everything you need to repair ski and snowboard bases: PTex; Metal Scraper; Sanding Sponge(for removed rust and polising edge).Choose black ptex for black base areas and clear ptex for clear or colorized base areas. If you need both clear and black ptex we offer a 3/3 mix.

  • Use our hot spot torch for burning clean ptex is best choice, it can reduce ptex oxidation or ptex anti black carbon.
  • Color Available:Black and White.Please as per your Ski base to chose.
  • Use a torch to light the Ptex candle, keep the candle very close to the metal scraper to keep it from oxidize, so that the drip candle can maintain very good quality. Hold at a 45 angle about 1" above the gouge (you want a blue flame, not yellow,adjust height to achieve this. drip the candle into the gouge carefully. Wait for the candle to cool down(about 10-15 minutes) after the gouge in filled. then use a metal scraper to remove the excess ptex candle.
  • WARNING!!!They burn extra-hot (in excess of 970F) which helps consume some of the undesirable black carbon created while the candle burns.
