?Wyvern USA's large axe sharpener is a dual grit whetstone made from high-quality silicon carbide.  ?The 150 grit (charcoal-colored) and 320 grit (green-colored) are labeled on the side for easy identification.  ?The sharpening stone is 3.75 inches in diameter, a 44% larger sharpening area than competing whetstones, and 1 inch wide.  INSTRUCTIONS: Honing oil or water can be used during the sharpening process, and will make the sharpening process easier, but it is not needed.  1. Place the tool in a solid, stable position (ideally in a bench vise) so it does not move during the sharpening process. 2. Start with the 150 grit side (charcoal-colored) and hold the stone by the edge keeping your fingers away from the work surface. 3. Position the stone at an angle to match the existing blade. 4. Work the stone in a circular motion along the length of the cutting surface. Work one side of the cutting surface and then switch to the other side.  5. Repeat step #4 with the 320 grit (green colored) side.
