Wu wei zi (Schizandra berry, Schisandra chinensis), also known as Fructus Schisandrae in pharmaceutical Latin, is a deciduous woody vine. Schisandra is native to northern and northeastern China (Manchuria). Cultivation requirements are thought to be similar to those of grapes.
