Box is sturdy and built from quality plastic. As to its weatherproof claims with time we will see. I am putting a wireless LAN repeater in this one so waterproof would be a big help. The seal is robust enough; and the unit closes and opens easily. I am not sure what the UV rating on this unit is. My guess is that it would last about 10 years max in a standard environment away from harsh extremes.
