Wash tool for our Sketch Manga G and Brause Rose fountain pens

Attach this tool to one of our drawing pens, and use it to wash your ink drawings to give them more depth and character. Fill the tool with water and press it onto the back of the pen. You can now draw with the pen using the nib, and when you want to wash your drawing, spin the pen half a turn in your hand and brush your lines with water or dilute ink. When you're finished, pull the tool off the pen. Washing your drawings is a great way to add enhance the appeal of pen and ink drawings. The brushed line introduces subtlety. You don't want to wash the entire drawing, just selected parts. Learning what and when to wash is an intuitive process, but the results are highly gratifying. You can also wash with color if you prefer. Add ink or paint to the water, and you become a watercolorist. You can even fill the tool with 100% ink or paint if you want to. Just remember that since the tool snaps onto the back of the pen, there's no double wall to protect against leakage. For this reason, we recommend water only except for the brave. You can replace the brush when it wears down or plugs up. We sell replacement brushes. They are easy to replace, just pull out the old brush and ferrule, insert the new brush inside the ferrule, and away you go. We provide caps for both ends of the wash tool when it's not in use. This protects the brush and, again if you're brave, lets you carry the tool filled with water. This tool does not fit onto other pens. It is designed specifically for our Fountain Pens and Pump Pens.
