If it is hot, leave it ON for at least 10 minutes to cool down. STEP 2: Press the release button on the front cover to open it. STEP 3: Pull on the handle in the middle of the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly to remove from the printer. STEP 4: There is a green lock lever on the right side of the drum unit and toner cartridge. Push the green lock lever down and then lift the toner cartridge out of the drum unit. STEP 5: Unpack the new drum unit. STEP 6: Now put the toner cartridge firmly into the new drum unit until you hear it lock into place. The green lock lever will automatically lift if the toner cartridge has been put in properly. STEP 7: Put the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly back in the machine, and make sure to keep the front door open. STEP 8: Hold down the GO button until the ‘Drum Clear’ messages is displayed.
