Matcha Facts, Tips And Hints
-Always sift powder before mixing to avoid clumping. -Use the Bamboo Scoop (Chashaku) to push the matcha powder through the Sifter. -Clean the Scoop with a dry cloth.
-Matcha should not be made with boiling water. The ideal water temperature for matcha is around 175F/80C or just under a boil. -Add 2 oz of warm water to sifted matcha and briskly whisk using a Bamboo Matcha Whisk (Chasen) or Matcha Frother to achieve perfect consistency with a creamy froth on top. -Add additional warm water to achieve desired thickness. -Rinse Bamboo Whisk under warm water and let air dry on your Whisk Holder (Chasen Tate).
-Matcha powder does not dissolve, therefore it is best consumed immediately after preparation. -Store in the refrigerator after opening to maintain freshness.
