There are aerial battles involving CG mecha; creatures who are angelic, demonic or possibly both dueling in the skies; hidden identities being revealed; murder victims returning from the dead; and a veritable blizzard of symbolic feathers falling on the human characters. The elaborate effects can't disguise the collapse of what little coherent plot remained. The shifting nature of Father Abel Nightroad is never resolved, nor are the later events tied to the earlier subplots involving "silent noise devices" and the faerie-vampires of the "Tinkerbell System." But fans of Trinity Blood are looking for a flashy visuals, not a conventional narrative; and these last episodes deliver them. The finale is open-ended, leaving open the possibility of a sequel.
