This ready to hang, gallery-wrapped art piece features a green mountain at the bottom of the frame. Lance Kuehne was born and raised in Northern California. Since the fall of 2002, his primary subject matter has been the rural and natural landscapes of the North Bay Area of San Francisco, as well as occasionally other parts of California and beyond. He has always had a keen interest in classic American imagery. Strongly influenced by photographers such as Edward Weston and Ansel Adams, his work focuses on a sense of place, its light, and mood, creating timeless images. His award winning photographs are in private collections in over 40 states and many countries. Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. The attainable excellence that Giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece. The result is wide acceptance of Giclee by galleries, museums, and private collectors. Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured a hidden, wooden frame. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting.
