The Vatican Television Center presents JOHN PAUL II Seasons of the Apostle

This 4-documentary traces John Paull II's long journey through the seasons of his life. "Open wide the doors to Christ" was the rallying cry that marked a pontificate which always centred on Christ. John Paul II's mission became that of placing inter-religious dialogue under the spotlight, and vehemently opposing war. The third section recalls the Pope's courageous initiatives, including asking forgiveness for past errors in name of the Church, and it concludes with the season of his old age and illness: a time which saw His missionary zeal continue as He transformed His suffering into a new form of witness.
