Product Description An obsessed doctor tries to cure human deformities through DNA splicing, an obsession that pushes him to experiment on the patients at the Edgewood Asylum. Ignoring his pregnant wife Olivia, she comes to see him one night, but everything goes horribly wrong as Dr. Newman watches in horror as Olivia delivers their twins - One is a beautiful baby girl, the other a deformed creature that defies nature. 25 years later, on a dark and stormy night, a van carrying a group of teens from the Roslyn Center for the Deaf breaks down. With a flat tire and freezing temperatures the group seeks shelter making their way to an old abandoned building -- the Edgewood Asylum. Little do they know - evil awaits them. Review I thoroughly enjoyed it. Writer/Director Ric LaMonte has delivered a horror fans a breath of fresh air. The story is really cool, the main characters are fun to watch and J. LaRose throws out some great smart ass one liners throughout the entire movie. Plus we get plenty of blood and bodies getting tossed, the monster is fun to watch because he isn t shy at all, the lighting is perfect, etc. Basically get ready to be introduced to the newest monster on the block because the Tenant is a horror fans sugar rush. --Geek Tyrant.com The Tenant incorporates a sophisticated and terrifying story line. The movie is also filled with shocking turns, exciting character development, and a never done before particularly effective special effects shot. Presented through stunning High Definition cinematography, complimented by a strong, powerful, and hypnotizing sound track in surround sound, with intertwining musical interludes and disturbing sound effects. An astonishing twist, coupled with strong acting across the board serve to position the movie for a franchise sequel. --Dread Central Nice, clever story anchored by good acting. Stars the always amusing Michael Berryman, super-hottie Jenn Sterger (who is a damn good actress) and journeyman Bill Cobbs all work well. An update on the Re-Animator line of films THE TENANT is solid fun. --BloodyDisgusting.com
