The Screenwriters

THE SCREENWRITERS takes us to the 1940s world of the once-great Stewart Harvey (Jeff Rose) and the bumbling new kid in Hollywood, Chip Leninskovich (Jason Burkey), who together are forced to hash out a feature-length screenplay in under twenty-four hours. With core ideals clashing and production pressures mounting, their tenuous partnership does not look to last the night. Interrupting the writers around the clock, studio allies and antagonists impose their ideas on the duo. Production chief Chester Mayer (Jim McKeny), director Forrest Woods (Rich Swingle), glamorous starlet Elaine Gibson (Jenn Gotzon), and Stu’s former flame Agnes DeMint (Sandra Elise Williams) propel Stewart and Chip to the most important part of any script--a swell ending.
