Product Description This classic DVD takes a sentimental journey with The Singing Rage, Miss Patti Page, the best-selling female vocalist of all time. This stunning collection of the world's original music videos shows off the lovely Patti Page in all her elegance and vocal purity. The DVD features Page performing eighteen of her greatest hits, including How Much Is That Doggie In The Window? and Tennessee Waltz, showcasing the Patti Page Sound which can be both warm and fiery hot, religious in feeling, but also provocative. But whether happy, melancholy or brazen, it is always real! 'a key figure in the evolution of pop music' New York Times In a world overflowing with musical imitators, The Singing Rage, Miss Patti Page remains an original! Patti Page has released over 80 albums and 157 singles (with sales of over 70,000,000), an astounding 110 of which reached the Billboard charts. A musical pioneer, she was the first to record with the now-standard overdubbing process, singing lead and background vocals. She was also the first artist to become a 'crossover' sensation, dominating the Pop and Country charts simultaneously, and she is the only musical performer in history to have her own weekly series on all three networks. 'Patti Page floats on pure melody.' - Billboard Magazine Before MTV or Youtube, Patti began a musical revolution which led to the stylized and conceptualized music videos of today, and this DVD time capsule not only captures them all in one disc, but is an outstanding historical tribute to the greatest Pop and Country crossover artist of all time. Here, a station executive recruited her as the host for the Meet Patti Page Show and her career as a singer had officially begun. She legally adopted the stage name when Jack Rael, who became her manager for the next 50 years, lured her from Tulsa. Her first hit was Confess, which featured the overdubbing technique for the first time in the recording industry. With My Eyes Wide Open I'm Dreaming was Patti's first single to sell over a million copies. Then in the 50's she released All My Love followed by Tennessee Waltz, which held the Number One position for thirteen weeks. It is the most sold record by a female artist in recording history. This hit was responsible for orbiting Patti Page into superstardom. Billboard and Cashbox magazines and American Bandstand each honored her in 1957 as America's favorite female vocalist. Throughout the decade, she appeared on every major talk show including Ed Sullivan. During her career she has been awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as well as th
