The Lure / Corki Dancingu DVD - 'Daughters of Dancing' is an extraordinary film by Agnieszka Smoczy?ska, honoured with a special award for its unique vision and original artistic concept at the Sundance Film Festival. At the 40th Film Festival in Gdynia, the picture received the awards for best make-up and best directorial debut. The filmmaker also picked up a special award - the Elle crystal star - and the Polish film award Or?y 2016 in the Discovery of the Year category. In the leading roles - two extremely talented actresses of the young generation: Michalina Olsza?ska and Marta Mazurek. They are supported by stars of Polish cinema in new, surprising incarnations - Kinga Preis as the queen of the disco scene, Magdalena Cielecka in the role of Divine Fur warming up the regulars of communist dances and Jakub Giersza? as a virtuoso of the bass sound. The rhythmic music of the band Ballady i Romanse and the most popular hits of the 1970s and 1980s pulsate in the background. Two teenage girls, Zlota and Srebrna, land in the middle of the vibrant music, shimmering with neon lights and sequins world of Warsaw dances of the 1980s. However, they are not ordinary girls, but mermaids trying to learn and understand what it is to be a woman. They join the band Figi i Daktyle and become a sensation of the capital's nightlife.
