This piece is based on the "King James" version of the Bible, and is from "Psalm 23", found in the Old Testament. The selection begins with: "The Lord is my shepherd..." and was written by David (and several others). Among the books of the Bible, Psalms is considered to be one of poetry. This, and each piece of IWC, was done with permission of the publisher of the Bible version used. Once the original hand-lettered work was done, the piece was professionally replicated as a color copy and was then packaged here as art only with a (without mat or frame). The calligraphy and artwork were done entirely by hand - without the aid of a computer. The piece was hand-lettered using a Italics lettering style, working with Dry pigment, cobalt blue ink.
