Product Description The Little Rascals was the first television name given to the Our Gang Comedies, produced by Hal Roach in the 1920's and 1930's. Inspired by a group of young boys fighting over sticks outside his office window, Roach saw that kids were natural comedians. He wanted to make a show with kids acting like real kids, yelling, arguing and fighting. The little Rascals became the staple of children's television and the popularity of the show continues today. About the Actor Includes Wally Albright, Sherwood Bailey, Allen 'Farina' Hoskins, Bobby 'Wheezer' Hutchins, George 'Spanky' McFarland, Jackie Cooper, and Leon Janney. About the Director With the help of Hal Roach, Robert F. McGowan developed a unique energy, consistently producing what are arguably some of the best comedy shorts of the 1920s and early '30s.
