The Bio Dude Terra Fauna Bioactive Reptile Substrate for terrariums and vivariums

The Bio Dude's handcrafted bioactive substrate for rainforest-dwelling reptiles such as Day Geckos, Crested Geckos, Gargoyle Geckos, Tokay Geckos and other neo-tropical herps. This substrate is specifically designed for biomes that can get quite warm, but have humidity spikes throughout the day. Designed to retain water and drain efficiently into the drainage layer, Terra Fauna provides excellent organic nutrition for your vivarium by creating necessary air pockets for root development and plant health. These air pockets are also necessary for the springtails and isopods to create a sustainable population in the vivarium. A drainage layer is necessary for optimal function of the Terra Fauna. It is recommended to add the Bio Dude's BioShot to promote bioactivity in your substrate. You can also add springtails, isopods, or earwigs. They are not included, only the single bag of handcrafted substrate. To obtain the self-cleaning, self-maintaining aspect you must add at least one of the above mentioned for optimal performance.
