Mendocino History A century ago Mendocino was a rough and tumble mill town, populated by loggers, fishermen, and merchants keeping the booming seaside village stocked with the goods they needed to survive on the rugged coast of Northern California. In later years, a new generation of transplants found their way to the rocky shores and wooded hills of this beautiful coastal community, and founded their own galleries, cafes, and workshops. Mendocino Coffee Old Town French is an intense dark roast with a pungent smoky edge rounded out with hints of dark chocolate, caramel, and roasted nuts. It’s a blend we’ve refined over many years of living and working on the Mendocino Coast, surviving the long rainy winters and cold foggy summers, thanks in no small part to a strong cup of Mendocino coffee.
