Teasel (Dipsacus fullonum) is a species of biennial herbaceous plant of the genus Dipsacus of the Caprifoliaceae family. The stems are straight, branched in the upper part, and ribbed. The leaves are short-petiolate, covered with few spines, oblong-obovate. The flowers are purple, sometimes white. Flowering period is in June; fruiting season is in August.
